Michael Tolan, WSU alum, speaks with students

Today, October 6th, 2009, WSU Alum Michael Tolan joined the Theatre department to talk of his experience in the field of acting and of his time here at WSU. Citing the Hilberry’s Leonard Leone as influential in his experience here, Tolan drove home the fact that to be an actor, you must have the self-confidence to try and succeed.

His chat with the students was a prelude to tomorrow night’s “A Man, A Woman and Cello.”

“A Man, Woman and a Cello” will feature poetry by Mr. Tolan and music by Lee Norris. The performance will occur at 7:00 p.m. and a reception will follow. Nadine Deleury, principal cellist of the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, will accompany Mr. Tolan.

When: 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7th, 2009.

Where: The Hilberry Theatre, 4743 Cass Ave.

Admission: Free

Sponsored by the WSU Understudies and Wayne State University.
