John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, presented by the Hilberry Theatre at on December 11, 2010, is the third of six exciting cultural destinations presented by Detroit Passport to the Arts (DP2A). We encourage you to become a DP2A member and experience great arts and culture right in your own backyard! Below is the official artwork of the 2010 – 2011 DP2A Season (we’re the one in the top right!).
A DP2A Passport gives you access to six performances throughout the year, presented by seven metro Detroit cultural organizations. With a special focus on metro Detroit‘s young professionals, the Passport is extremely affordable and ranges from $119 (less than $20 per performance!) to $229 (for extra benefits with the Platinum Passport!). Each performance gives you access to VIP benefits like backstage tours and features an after-party themed to compliment the cultural experience.
For the Hilberry Theatre destination, DP2A will embrace the time period during which Of Mice and Men was written: the 1920s. Passport holders will be privy to a Roaring 20s speakeasy, complete with Ragtime music. A canned food drive will also take place to support Gleaner’s Food Bank and pay homage to the Great Depression.
