Former American Idol Constantine Maroulis gives a Masterclass

In town on tour with the 80’s Rock ‘n Roll jukebox musical Rock of Ages, former American Idol Constantine Maroulis graciously dropped in to an undergraduate acting class to share a bit about his theatrical journey to success.  Assistant Professor Jesse Merz called upon his old friend to speak to his class about acting, singing, and his experiences with American Idol and Broadway.  Merz hired Maroulis to sing on the recording of a musical he produced nearly a decade ago.  Maroulius also had a connection to Senior Lecturer Aku Kadogo from his touring days with the musical RENT.  After speaking to the class (which included graduate students and faculty), Maroulis gave a few lucky students some vocal tips.  Theatre Management student Janine Pixley was there to capture some moments from the masterclass on film.
